October 2009 News
Hi everyone!
So the time you have all been waiting for has arrived….
Visit the points page or click here to download the list of 1st to 4th points winners for all classes. Let me also remind you that there are special trophies on Presentation Night, for ring winner, overall junior and senior, combination of horse and rider, and the horse trophy. These are kept secret until Presentation Night, so you never know, it could be you! We will also be presenting merit trophies to some of you who we on the committee feel deserve special recognition. This could be for anything, so keep your fingers crossed. I would also like to make a presentation to our team of showjumpers who represented us at Mottram Show.
If you are first in any class, you will automatically win a championship rosette, with ‘Bridgewater Riding Club’ printed on the tails. Should you wish to have the printing personalised, please fill in the form with the text you want (tasteful, please!), and this will cost £3. If you have not won 1st place, you can still order a rosette, obviously this will be a different colour, and will cost £7, including personalised printing. For those who are new, these rosettes are HUGE.
OK. Sashes: These are available at a cost of £10, including 3 lines of printing. Both rosettes and sashes are gorgeous, and well worth the money. Please send back your forms by October 16th, as we need a certain length of time to allow for printing.
Presentation Night is on Saturday 21st November at The Royal British Legion Club, 2 Bradburns Lane, Hartford, Northwich, CW8 1LS. 7pm arrival for 7.30 presentation.
The winner of the junior quiz at the September show was Rebecca Gaskell, who was delighted to receive a rug as her prize. Well done Rebecca!
All that remains is for me to say some thank yous…..
I would like to thank my fellow committee for their hard work and dedication this year. We have had some very welcome new faces on the bench, and I feel it has breathed a little freshness into the club. Your dedication this season has been very welcome, and I hope you will all rejoin and continue into 2010. There are also members of committee’s families that have also helped out, thanks so much for this.
To our judges, stewards, ground staff and trade stands, thank you to you for your hard work and expertise. You have helped to build BRC into one of the most popular riding clubs in the country. To our hosts at CRS, Andrea and Ian, thanks must go for providing us with a fantastic showground and the maintenance that goes with it.
Lastly to yourselves. It has been great to see you all improve over the course of the year, and the appreciation you give us makes the hard work worthwhile. Long may it continue, and see you at Presentation Night!
Ruth
