Schedule

All classes start at 9am unless stated. Unfortunately we can’t give start times for classes that follow on as it all depends on the number of entries.

Please arrive in good time to warm up for your class. All classes about to start are announced by the show caravan. Please ensure you use the same horse/pony name at each show for your points. Full club members accrue  points towards end of season trophies – membership must be paid prior to the class to accrue points.

Unless stated, the use of spurs (blunt, turned down) will be allowed by seniors riding over 153cm horses only, at the discretion of the judge.

Same combination of Pony/Horse & Rider may not compete in BOTH show jumping rings.

Please read the rules and regulations before entering classes. All non members must complete a day membership form to compete at Bridgewater Riding Club, this is to comply with club insurance rules. Day members do not accrue points.

CANTERING GUIDELINE – TOTS
While it is unusual to canter Tots or First Ridden classes together, some judges do so, particularly in Equitation classes where the rider’s ability is under scrutiny. At BRC our rule states that if a rider does not wish or is not capable of the group canter, they are to come to the centre of the ring after the group trot. This rule also stands for Ring Championships. Judges please note the group canter in these classes is optional, so the choice to include it lies with the judge. It should not be the primary deciding factor in placings, unless there is a tie.
