Welcome to the new season!!

New year, new beginnings.
Here we are in 2012, with a fresh new committee, or at least those of us who aren’t new are a little refreshed! I’m delighted to once again be your Chairman, and I’m now going into my sixth year at the head of our happy little bunch. I’m sure you will all join me in welcoming your new committee, a full list is available on the website. We have seen some changes and growth over the years, so it’s exciting to see where we will go from here! I’m trying to keep this first newsletter fairly brief, so just as a reminder of what we have coming up. So without further ado:
Cover star?
If you fancy you and your pony as a cover star, send your photos in to us! You may find yourself immortalized on the cover. Well, for a year, anyway! Email them to us at bridgewaterridingclub@yahoo.com Decent quality please, as they have to go to print. Jpeg format is preferred and no photos with the photographer’s name across them.
Winter Show 25th February
Our winter show is coming up on the 25th at Bold Heath EC. There’s plenty to do, and the rings are indoors in case of unpleasant weather! Rosettes to 8th place and rings with both in hand and ridden showing. Why not join also? Not only will you get cheaper entries all season and earn points towards our fabulous trophies on Presentation Night, but if you join before the winter show, you will receive a 20% on membership, so you would only pay £16. Take advantage of this offer…. It’s well worth it.
New classes, new charities
You will notice some extra classes in this year’s schedule, and some changes in Main Ring. There is a slight change of running order in September, where we move the final show back a week and finish the season with the Blue Chip North West Showing Championships. Also in 2012 our nominated charities are the Veteran Horse Society and the North West Air Ambulance. We will split the takings from the Clear Round over the season and donate it to these very worthy causes. So you can be sure that even while having a good time and jumping the course, you are doing your bit!
Sponsors welcome!!
We always welcome those of you who would like to go that extra bit in support. With new classes in the schedule we are in need of more trophies, or maybe you would like to sponsor a class at the NWWH and NWSJ Championships? Anything from donating some prizes to paying for the rosettes, to even having a bespoke jump made to promote your business, we can arrange a package to suit. Please drop us an email if this appeals!
Finally..
As I said, just a quick one to start. If you have any questions, drop us an email, or join our Facebook page. We are nominated in the ESMA awards again in the Best Event category, due to how accessible we are to you. You will always get a personal reply and if we can help, we will.
See you all at the winter show, and massive good luck for the season!
